Company Profile & Job Overview: Elecnor Ireland Limited is currently seeking an experienced Wireman to join our project teams based in County Kerry and County Sligo. We are a leading provider of engineering and energy infrastructure, specializing in high-voltage substations and power distribution networks across Ireland. In this role, you will be responsible for executing essential electrical installation work for major infrastructure projects, ensuring high standards of technical precision and quality. Key Responsibilities: - Installation of comprehensive cable management systems, including cable trays, ladder racks, and protective trunking. - Pulling, routing, and securing heavy industrial power cables, auxiliary cabling, and control cables across substation sites. - Precise termination and glanding of Steel Wire Armoured (SWA) cables, flexible control cabling, and multi-core signal wiring. - Wiring, dressing, and organizing complex control panels, protection relays, marshalling kiosks, and local control cubicles. - Working directly from detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring schedules, and technical termination drawings. - Conducting pre-commissioning checks, continuity testing, and verifying connections alongside site engineering teams. - Ensuring all installation work complies strictly with project specifications, engineering standards, and quality requirements. Key Requirements: - Solid experience as a Wireman or Industrial Electrician, ideally in High Voltage (HV) substations or industrial energy facilities. - Strong practical skills in heavy cable pulling, SWA glanding, cable management installation, and control panel wiring. - Ability to read and interpret complex electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and schedules accurately. - High standard of workmanship, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively within a site team. Working Hours & Compensation: - Hours: Standard working week of 45 hours, Monday to Friday. - Salary: €40,000 to €45,000 per annum, depending on experience. - Benefits: 22 days of annual leave plus 10 public holidays, company-provided accommodation, and statutory pension contributions.
