Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for apart-time Band 6 Physiotherapistto work within the Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Outpatient department at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW). The post involves both 1-1 and group work. The post will be based at Weston General Hospital and the post holder will work as part of a welcoming, inspiring and supportive physiotherapy team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage a varied and complex caseload of patients with musculoskeletal health problems. They will treat patients both on a 1-1 basis and within groups. There will be opportunity to participate in service development and collaboration within MSK across Bristol and Weston sites.
In service training programmes and staff appraisal systems are in operation to facilitate development and to meet the demands of the post. You will have access to regular supervision with the team lead and support from the MSK Pathway Lead. The post holder will support delivery of a high quality, evidence-based and responsive service.
The post holder should be aninspiring, innovative and highly motivated physiotherapist withadvanced skills in the assessment and treatment of a range of complex patients. They will be naturally empathetic, demonstrating good communication skills to facilitate close working relationships with both patients and colleagues. They will need to be creative and flexible to meet the changing needs of the caseload and service. We are looking for a driven individual who is confident to challenge current practice and ensure that our patients receive up-to-date evidence-based treatments.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience Essential
A variety of experience in core areas as post graduate physiotherapist i.e. musculoskeletal, T&O, respiratory and neurological dealing with a wide range of patients with differing needs Significant experience of managing a variety of MSK presentations, adhering to evidence-based practice, local and national guidelines Experience in clinical education of less experienced staff, students or assistants Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team and/or multidisciplinary team
