Main duties of the job As a Clinical Leader you will;

Be the Scrub Lead for the hospital

Actively contribute to service development, policies and strategies, plus identifying opportunities.

Support individuals and teams to deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals plus patients.

Work collaboratively alongside the consultants. You will ensure patients benefit from the best possible treatment and care.

Be fully accountable for leading, motivating and supervising a multidisciplinary team.

Alongside our clinical leadership team, you would support the Theatre Manager and Deputy

Contribute to audits and clinical governance, infection prevention, health and safety plus risk analysis.

We are looking for Clinical Leader - Scrub within our Theatre Team. A candidate who can provide strong clinical leadership to the theatre department, leading a theatre and championing the delivery of the highest quality perioperative care: care that is patient-centred, evidence-based, brand-defining and innovative; delivered by a trained, motivated, and compassionate team; in line with organisational, regulatory and governance requirements.

As a Clinical Leader you will;

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Will have specialist training including a nursing/practitioner qualification and/or postgraduate short courses. Ideally, your wide-ranging skills will include teaching and assessment, as well as ILS/ALS. A professional management qualification would also be an advantage.

SFA qualification (Desirable)

Experience Essential

Have experience in orthopaedics (desirable) Comprehensive Orthopaedic Scrub Skills Proven leadership experience in a theatre setting Audit experience
