Band 4 Associate Practitioner - Point of Care Testing (POCT)
This is a part-time post for 25 hours per week.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our teamas a Band 4 Associate Practitioner in our innovative Point of Care Testing (POCT) team.
Working across multiple hospital sites, you will play a key role in delivering rapid, high-quality diagnostic services and ensuring tests are available in clinical, areas.
This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting POCT equipment, supporting quality governance, and promoting timely results to enhance patient care.

The post is part-time post for 25 hours per week; negotiable.
Monday to Friday with expectations to also contribute to bank holidays and weekends.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible to:
Maintain and quality-check POCT equipment, ensuring compliance with standards. Manage stock control and liaise with manufacturers for technical issues. Train and assess clinical staff on POCT equipment and maintain training records. Support audits, accreditation processes, and implementation of new technologies. Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain a safe working environment. Work flexibly across sites and hours, including occasional travel.

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification Good numeracy and communication skills

Must be able to independently travel to BSPS sites
