Job summary
We are looking for a Billing Compliance Assistant to join our Billing team at our office in Kings Hill, West Malling.
Joining us on a full time, 37.5 hour per week basis you will work in a hybrid capacity with 2 days per week based at the Kings Hill office.
Please note this is a one-year Fixed Term Contract covering Maternity Leave.
Purpose of the role
To provide the Billing team with clear, accurate, and concise documentation that enables the production of timely and precise invoicing.
As part of a small team, you will collate information to build a rate profile for each service user, creating a complete audit trail that evidences all agreed rates and any subsequent changes to care packages throughout their residency.
This role will also play a key part in strengthening communication between Billing, Commercial, and site teams, working closely with all stakeholders to ensure consistency and transparency.

Main duties of the job
Ensure accurate billing of all service user bed fees, including all elements of the agreed care package at admission, by compiling, validating, and reconciling information received from internal teams.Monitor all admissions and maintain data integrity within Civica, ensuring records are accurate, up to date, and supported by a robust audit trail to meet compliance requirements.Review and action correspondence from external stakeholders relating to fees, including amendments to care packages, individual agreements, and changes in funding responsibility, escalating issues where appropriate.Provide operational support to colleagues across the Billing Compliance team and wider functions (Billing, Commercial, Credit Control, and site teams), including contributing to process improvements and supporting the transition to a new billing system.Assist with ad hoc rate queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses to internal and external requests.

Your day-to-day...

We are looking for someone with...
Our billing processes can be quite complex, so the ideal candidate will need good communication skills and a fine attention to detail.
An analytical and/or methodological way of thinking would also be highly beneficial as our historic rate queries can pose somewhat of a challenge.
Willing to work as part of a team and demonstrate the ability to prioritise your workload to meet strict deadlines.
A strong proficiency in excel is desirable.
1-2 years experience of billing or office administration is desirable
