Youll be a vital part of a professional, friendly and compassionate team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager, Donna. Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings, and youll do everything you can to ensure the patients treatment is of the highest standard.
Main duties of the job
Youll be responsible for ensuring the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment. You will also develop and execute the correct procedures for ordering, receiving and transfer of blood and blood products as well as blood conservation. Finally, you will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for total patient care in the perioperative phase.

About us
Youll be a Registered NMC Nurse with experience of being a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or an HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner, with:
knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic team will be key in this role experience of major Orthopaedic surgery are fully up to date with current research and developments in theatre practise, along with have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department What you can expect in return
