Main duties of the job As a Director of Clinical Services (Matron), you will:

Quickly understand the clinical challenges facing our hospital and build excellent relationships with internal customers and external bodies Ensure that we provide safe and effective care through a range of surgical and medical interventions Deliver effective operational management and inspirational leadership Be a role model for excellent clinical governance, providing strategy and direction for our hospital Champion improvements to clinical standards, care and service across wards, theatres, outpatients, pharmacy, radiology, imaging, cardiology and pathology Always be approachable and accessible to patients, relatives and colleagues

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

As a Director of Clinical Services at our Leeds Hospital, you'll have a strong track record in leading and developing nursing practice.

Experience Essential

As well as a thorough understanding of evidence-based practice and the health care regulatory agenda, you're able to stabilise and re-engage teams, driving the standards of care.
