Main duties of the job Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join Chorleywood Manor Care Home in Hertfordshire. This role involves supporting the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring resident wellbeing, involving in care planning processes, supporting residents with medication needs, undertaking staff supervisions for their development, and acting as a point of contact for residents and their relatives or health professionals. The ideal candidate will embody caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability values, have an NVQ 3 or equivalent, two years experience in a similar environment, effective communication skills, positive resident and staff support attitudes, and be flexible to cover various responsibilities.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
