Band 5 Clinical Technologist - Clinical Engineering
**This is a fixed-term post for 12 months to cover maternity leave.**
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Engineering team for a Clinical Technologist in the care of medical equipment, to undertake the maintenance of medical devices to support the treatment of patients in Clinical Areas and Wards throughout the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Responsibility for carrying out servicing and repairs of medical equipment.
Teamwork is essential, so it would be expected the post holder would both provide and receive guidance and supervision to and from other Clinical Technologists who understand the equipment used.
Ensure that medical devices are serviced, repaired and maintained to an appropriate standard.
Travel to other sites will be required to ensure maintenance is carried out at each location.

Education Essential
Degree in Science or Engineering or HNC with equivalent experience Equivalent qualifications or professional experience may be also be accepted
Desirable
Degree in Clinical Engineering or Technology Relevant manufacturers' courses
Registration Essential
Membership of a relevant professional body and Registration as Clinical Technologist (RCT)
Other Skills Essential
Valid UK driving Licence
Experience Essential
Significant experience of repair, maintenance and QA of Medical Devices
Desirable
Senior level experience in medical device maintenance & repair
IT Skills Essential
Basic IT skills and ability to use standard packages, e.g. Word, Excel, etc.
Desirable
Knowledge of medical devices integration to EPR systems
