The Fleet Services Division of the Department of Public Works is recruiting for a Mechanic II (Automotive Repair Technician) to join the Fleet Services team in Miller Lake. This is your opportunity to become part of the team who are pivotal in ensuring the Public Works Fleet is running smoothly and safely. Without our Automotive Repair Technician's proactive measures, equipment issues or failures could lead to an interruption of services provided. As the Technician, you are one of our key team players who support the overall safety and efficiency of our provincial road network.
About Our Opportunity
Under the general supervision of the Shop Supervisor (Miller Lake), the Mechanic diagnoses equipment failure, repairs, rebuilds and makes adjustments to a variety of department vehicles.
Primary Accountabilities
The Mechanic uses specialized tools and equipment located in government facilities designed and equipped for mechanical work and assists with field repairs as r
