About this role
Reporting to the Controller, the Full Cycle Bookkeeper records and maintains the financial transactions to support Reotech Construction's financial reporting requirements. The position is suitable for a bookkeeper wanting to advance within a stable organization.
*Job Responsibilities*
· Positively and professionally represent Reotech Construction and communicate effectively with the owners, customers, trades, and members of our team
· Responsible for full cycle accounting activities:
* Record all financial transactions i.e. accounts payable, accounts receivable and various month end journal entries * Enter customer invoices and cash receipts into the accounting database
· Assist with compliance activities:
* Coordinate and issue Certificates of Insurance and WSBC Clearance Letters * Obtain COC insurance coverage for various projects in accordance with company policy * Maintain contractor compliance websites
· Act as a back-up to the payroll administrator
· Assist in the preparation and maintenance of schedules and working papers for the annual review engagement
· Other duties as assigned
*Required Skills/Experience:*
* Post-secondary education in accounting or finance * Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience performing similar duties, ideally in construction * Experience with Acumatica, Procore and ADP would be an asset * Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; must be able to work with discretion and trustworthy with confidential information * Ability to self-manage, prioritize and problem solve strategically within strict deadlines * Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
