Vancouver Island trucking company is looking for a versatile driver; who is professional, friendly, punctual, and reliable. We are looking for someone with availability for full-time hours. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible as we offer a variety of trucking services.
*Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities required :*
* Valid Class 1 driver?s license (or Class 3) with a clean commercial driver?s abstract * Commercial driving experience * Physically fit and able to climb ladders and tarp loads when necessary. * Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature, and road conditions * Equipment operation, such as frontend loaders, is an asset
*Responsibilities include :*
* Operating trucks and trailers safely and professionally to transport materials over urban, short inter-urban, and rural routes. * Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships. * Maintain accurate records such as delivery verification, driving logs, mileage, and maintenance logs. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Perform basic automotive maintenance as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. * Following Company Policies, Health and Safety, and safe work procedures.

*Hourly rate* will be competitive and based upon knowledge, skill and experience.

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
