Rate of pay: $15.00 – $20.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Program Director on operational needs, including but not limited to event planning, curriculum development, and reporting.
• Lead program participants of the Walnut St. YMCA through all components of the program, including the hiring process, document collection, and processing.
• Ensure students, parents, and partners are informed of program timelines, deadlines, and important events.
• Facilitate Professional Development workshop in a group setting throughout each cohort.
• Coordinate and secure appropriate internship placements for students, aligning with their career interests and goals.
• Monitor and document students' internship hours and ensure they meet program requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential partners and collaborators, expanding opportunities for program growth and student development.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Strong understanding of workforce development principles, youth mentorship, career readiness strategies, and program management. They should also be well-versed in educational technology platforms, partnership building, and effective communication techniques to engage students, parents, and community partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Multi-lingual skills.
• Associates degree in fields of Youth Development, Social Work, Administration or related fields.
• Additional coursework or training in program management or youth development.
