Position: Fleet & Transportation Specialist

Pay: $21-$24/hr.

Location: Getzville, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm

*CDL NOT REQUIRED*

Your Impact as a Fleet & Transportation Specialist

The Fleet & Transportation Specialist will perform a variety of duties across multiple sites including driving individuals, deliveries of food and mail, and Fleet oversight and maintenance.

• Coordinate the organization's vehicle fleet, including DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, scheduling, records, and overall vehicle readiness.

• Pick up and deliver student meals, food supplies, mail, and other materials to designated agency locations, ensuring timely, accurate, safe, and confidential handling.

• Provide transportation coverage for Respite and Day Habilitation programs based on staffing and program needs.

• Transport individuals safely and reliably while following agency policies, vehicle safety standards, and applicable transportation requirements.

• Assist individuals with entering and exiting vehicles and the proper use of seat belts, mobility equipment, and other safety supports.

• Maintain appropriate supervision and professional interactions with individuals during transportation and promptly report safety, behavioral, or transportation concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

• Perform any other duties as requested by your supervisor

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Experience coordinating or managing vehicle maintenance, including scheduling inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs, preferred

• A minimum of two years of experience safely transporting or driving individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Etc.:

• Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing.

• CPR, First Aide, and other applicable state mandated training may be required.
