Currently we are looking to fill the vital role of a full-time Accounting Assistant.
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for various functions related to the preparation and paying of MWMC and related entities Payroll, Accounts Payable, AP vendor boarding, month end close, patient refund process, and various reports and reconciliations. These duties include data entry in Workforce Management time keeping system, set up and maintenance of employee data to include deductions, calculation of overtime and differentials, garnishments, and other adjustments. Prepares and enters time collection and accumulation and assures the accurate processing of payroll. Process payroll in accordance with QHC/MWMC policies and procedures. Daily processing of AP invoices, to include mail sorting, scanning to Fusion workflow, invoice coding, preparation and processing of various types of check packets in accordance with compliance policies. Confer with vendors, purchasing, and other department personnel to identify and correct invoice-purchase order discrepancies in a timely manner. Obtain and process AP vendor boarding documents, oversee the review and tracking of clinic patient refunds, outstanding purchase orders, and vendor statements. Assist Revenue Manager with daily cash process, month end close process, preparation and completion of various reconciliations, cost reports, audit packs, and other projects as needed.
Support the Accounting Team to meet intercompany goals and provide back-up when others are on leave, other duties as assigned by the Controller or the CFO.
Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize, handle stressful situations, have a good working knowledge of accounting concepts to include general ledger, and strong excel skills.
This is a full-time, weekday shift position, occasional weekends and holidays are required to meet various project deadlines, must be a team player and able to work independently.
