About this role
Responsible for the layout, repair, modification, and preventative maintenance of a wide variety of manufacturing machinery. Dismantles, assembles, and maintains intricate specialized equipment requiring skilled fitting and alignment. Works to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with machinery in a timely manner.
Essential Job Functions:
• Electrical / Mechanical / Hydraulic / Pneumatic diagnosis and repairs of all manufacturing and facility equipment, including CNC machining centers and/or industrial maintenance
• Maintains all preventative maintenance and machine repair records.
• Electrical diagnosis and repairs of manufacturing and facility equipment
• Research and source parts as needed for above listed tasks
• Assists with special installations and projects including electrical, plumbing, painting and general maintenance.
• Understands drawings and schematics
• Maintains safety standards and adheres to Company safety programs
Additional Duties:
• Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.
• Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.
• Must remain current with, and complete all required training as assigned.
• Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• May be required to drive own vehicle or company vehicle to pick up maintenance tools/equipment/parts offsite at vendor locations.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years' experience in electrical and mechanical repair of CNC machining centers and or industrial maintenance.
• Basic computer skills to navigate within a Windows environment
• Attention to detail with safety as a priority
• Physical requirements include pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 40 pounds, climbing, standing, sitting, or kneeling for long periods of time
• Knowledge of lean tools a plus
• Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company.
• Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results.
• Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies.
Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
