About this role
Principal Activities
• Serve as the primary inside sales contact for customers requiring pump and valve replacement parts, repairs, and service solutions.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, lead times, repair status, and technical information.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and follow-up.
• Prepare accurate quotations for replacement parts based on customer requirements, equipment specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Process customer orders and ensure accurate entry into the ERP system.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling related products, services, and upgrade solutions.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to verify pricing, inventory availability, and delivery schedules.
• Reviews customer requests for U.S. Navy project quotations considering factory capability, factory capacity, and financial results.
• Prepares and submits written (verbal where appropriate) quotations for U.S. Navy project customers and representatives in accordance with CIRCOR and customer requirements.
• Finalizes negotiation with customers. Knowledge of T&C is necessary.
• Review customer repair requests and coordinate repair evaluations, inspections, and quotations.
• Track repair projects from receipt through completion and shipment.
• Communicate repair findings, recommended corrective actions, and associated costs to customers.
• Coordinate with service technicians and operations personnel to ensure repairs are completed according to customer expectations and delivery commitments.
• Assist customers in identifying replacement parts using drawings, bills of material, manuals, and equipment records.
• Provide technical product information related to pump and valve applications, maintenance, and repair solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer's satisfaction and sales potential.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Understanding of pumps, valves, rotating equipment, or mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with aftermarket parts sales, repair processes, and industrial service operations.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and inside sales practices.
• Understanding of pricing, quoting, order processing, and inventory management concepts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build customer relationships.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, exploded views, parts lists, and equipment documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
• Experience using ERP and CRM systems.
Education
• Associate degree in Business, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of inside sales, customer service, aftermarket sales, or industrial service experience.
