OVERVIEW:
The IIT-AV Intern will gain hands-on experience developing and maintaining technology for The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. This intern will assist with opening and closing the building, installing technology in new galleries, and researching and prototyping new interactives. There is a new gallery being installed during this internship, and the main focus will be assisting with the installation and mobilization of that gallery.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Open the building to ensure all interactives are working
• Brainstorm new gallery interactives and technologies
• Install technology in new galleries
• Create documentation for new gallery builds
• Attend team and project meetings
• Work AV events
• Shadow staff to get hands-on training
REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of at least 1 to 2 years of college coursework
• Preferred major or field of study: AV-related (audio, video, lighting), Entertainment, or Technology-related
• PC and Mac experience
• Troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of projectors and lighting technology
• Ability to take direction and work independently
• Open communication skills
• Previous experience in theaters or live production AV shows preferred, but not required
• Part-time position, approximately 15 hours per week
