OVERVIEW:
The Lilly Theater Technician Intern will work closely with the production team on all technical aspects of the Lilly Theater's spring production, from building the set to hanging lighting. Once the show opens, the intern will work with the full Lilly Theater team to maintain the production and help run the house during shows.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with power and pneumatic tools, including saws, staple guns, and sanders, to build the set for the spring production
• Create and assemble props and costumes
• Paint the set and props
• Hang and focus lighting, and work on lighting and sound consoles
• Help maintain the production and run the house during shows once the production opens
REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of 0 to 4 years of college coursework, depending on personal skillset and focus
• Preferred major or field of study: Theater Tech (lighting, sound, carpentry, or costumes)
• Skills in programming lights and running sound, including Qlab
• Experience working in a scene shop, paint shop, or costume shop
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work closely as part of a team
• Previous experience in Theater Technology preferred
• Part-time position, approximately 15 hours per week
• Note: production and performance schedules likely require some evening and weekend availability.
