Currently, we are looking to add a Scientist I to the team to assist in providing LC-MS-based analytical services of lipids and other small molecules.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operate and maintain HPLC-MS/MS instrumentation.

• Perform quantitative HPLC and HPLC-MS analysis of target analytes in a variety of matrices.

• Prepare solvents, mobile phases, and analytical samples of diverse origins.

• Interpret analytical data – suggest and assist in developing new analytical methods.

• Keep complete and accurate record of all observations, measurements, techniques, procedures, and conclusions in a laboratory notebook.

• Search, interpret, and utilize scientific literature.

• Help prepare scientific papers and technical reports for publication and/or presentation.

• Offer technical support to teammates, other staff, and customers as needed.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in chemistry or a related field.

• Experience: 8 years (with Bachelor's), 5 years (with Master's), 0 years (with PhD).

• Extensive hands-on experience running HPLC and mass spectrometry equipment, developing HPLC methods, and interpreting LC-MS/MS data. Specific experience in drug pharmacokinetic analysis or lipid analysis preferred.

• Solid knowledge of organic and analytical chemistry.

• Proficiency in general lab calculations and common lab software.

• Ability to work normal business hours on-site in Ann Arbor, MI.
