About this role

Position Summary:

This position performs a variety of duties which supports the workload in Distribution Services to ensure that all orders, mail, deliveries and receivers are processed on a day-to-day basis. This position also handles fulfilling breakrooms, delivering office supplies and assisting other departments. This position emphasizes accuracy and timely performance of job duties, as well as a strong emphasis on attention to detail.

Primary Job Duties:

• Pulls, packs, verifies, and fulfills orders for materials and supplies; prepares shipping labels, manifests, and required documentation using USPS, FedEx, and other shipping systems.

• Ensures order and fulfillment accuracy by following established quality-control procedures and verifying appropriate departmental information for shipping, postage, and chargeback purposes.

• Receives, verifies, and processes incoming inventory and deliveries; reconciles vendor packing slips, completes receiving documentation, and identifies discrepancies with receive product and communicates finding with buyer on receiving paperwork.

• Maintains accurate inventory stock for fulfillment by handling weekly C&O walkthrough and restocking assigned bin locations, assembling kits, monitoring stock levels, identifying stockouts, and notifying management of replenishment needs.

• Maintains organized and accurate stockroom operations by reviewing orders, maintaining bin locations, ensuring proper product identification and presentation, and participating in physical inventories.

• Processes and distributes incoming and outgoing mail and packages; sorts, weighs, meters, tracks, logs, and delivers mail and courier shipments according to established procedures and schedules.

• Operates and performs minor routine maintenance on mail processing and material-handling equipment, including Pitney Bowes metering equipment, carts, pallet jacks, and dock equipment.

• Records and maintains postage, shipping, and tracking information; prepares daily and monthly reports using meter-generated data to support postage reconciliation, invoicing, and departmental chargebacks.

• Provides shipping, receiving, material-handling, and event support to internal departments, including loading/unloading vehicles and preparing booth shipments as needed.

• Provides responsive customer service to AKC personnel and supports cross-training and other production areas as business needs change.

• Stocks breakrooms weekly. Updates management regarding any low or out of stock breakroom supplies for reordering.

• Assists and provides cross-functional support in other production areas as business needs require

The salary range in North Carolina for this position is $19.00 - $20.50/hour; however, hourly rate offered may vary depending on skill, experience, job-related knowledge.
