Matchpoint is an award-winning, AI-powered, automated media supply chain that transforms how media and entertainment companies manage and deliver streaming video assets. We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR Director in Poland to build, scale, and lead our people operations in Poland with opportunities to support broader European expansion. This role will be responsible for establishing and managing a compliant, high-performing workforce while partnering closely with global leadership to support rapid growth and operational excellence. This is a critical leadership position for someone who thrives in building HR infrastructure from the ground up while simultaneously supporting an existing employee base.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute workforce planning strategies to support business growth in Poland
• Identify hiring needs, define organizational structure, and support recruiting efforts
• Scale HR processes to support both rapid expansion and operational stability
• Establish foundational HR systems, processes, and documentation
• Create and maintain key employment documents, including: employee handbook, offer letters, employment agreements, and onboarding / offboarding materials
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best-in-class HR operations
• Serve as the in-country expert on Polish labor law and employment regulations. Experience with labor law across other EU countries is a plus
• Partner with payroll providers and finance teams to ensure accurate and compliant payroll administration
• Ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements, including employment classification, contracts, and filings
• Partner with legal counsel and vendors as needed to maintain compliance
• Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance issues
• Support leadership in creating a positive, high-performing culture
• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees
• Collaborate with US team to design, and thereafter manage local benefits programs and compensation structures
• Provide guidance on and implement company policies, including: time off / leave policies, expense reimbursement policies, employee perks / recognition, workplace standards and practices
• Ensure policies align with both global standards and local legal requirements
• Act as the primary HR partner for Poland, collaborating with global HR, finance, and leadership teams
• Support cross-border workforce initiatives and international expansion efforts
Qualifications
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or relevant HR certification preferred.
• Strong experience building HR infrastructure in new or scaling environments
• Deep knowledge of Polish labor law, employment contracts, and compliance requirements
• Proven track record managing both HR build-out and ongoing workforce operations
• Experience creating HR documentation (handbooks, offer letters, policies) from scratch
• Experience supporting entity establishment, EOR transitions, and workforce scaling in Poland
• Strong employee relations experience
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluency in Polish and English required
• Experience supporting multinational or U.S.-based organizations expanding into the European Union
• Familiarity with global HR systems and payroll vendors
