Join Purdue University Fort Wayne: We are currently seeking a full-time, onsite Temporary Music Therapy Coordinator in the College of Visual & Performing Ats. This position will be tasked to expand accessible healthcare services to the regional community as an approved Indiana Medicated Waiver provider. This position will start in a temporary role. The hours per week will be 20 hours or less and pay is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. As the clinic achieves a full caseload, the position will become full-time, benefited and exempt. Primary Responsibilities : The coordinator ensures seamless patient treatment, daily operations, and expanding community outreach to build a patient caseload while directly managing Indiana Medicaid Waiver reimbursement paperwork, client scheduling, intake, and regulatory billing compliance. In addition to clinic administration, the coordinator provides hands-on clinical supervision and mentorship for practicum students, clinical documentation, and professional development. Working in close collaboration with the Music Therapy Program Director, the Coordinator bridges academic. The coordinator bridges academic coursework with clinical practice, maintaining high standards of care and alignment with university and accreditation guidelines. Establish the clinic as a sustainable, community-facing healthcare provider and an on-site training facility for undergraduate and graduate music therapy students. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Music Therapy from an accredited institution. Current Music Therapist–Board Certified (MT-BC) credential. Must be able to lift and carry 10 to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 40lbs. occasionally. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Music Therapy or a closely related field. Three or more years of professional music therapy experience. Experience supervising music therapy practicum students or interns. Previous experience in a university or educational environment. Experience managing or coordinating a music therapy clinic, private practice, or other clinical program. Experience developing policies and procedures for clinical services. Experience with electronic documentation or client record-management systems. Experience with community outreach and referral development. Knowledge of billing, budgeting, or other administrative aspects of clinical practice. Additional Information: Purdue will not sponsor employment authorization for this position.
