Requirements: Strong Python development skills, particularly for automation and operational tooling.Experience in DevOps, Production Engineering, Platform Engineering, or SRE.Experience supporting business-critical, high-availability applications.Good understanding of CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and software development lifecycles.Knowledge of distributed systems, resilience, failover, and capacity management.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across applications and infrastructure.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Proactive approach with strong ownership and problem-solving capability.Financial Services, Capital Markets, or Trading Technology experience is advantageous.Exposure to risk, trading, or regulatory technology is advantageous.Experience with cloud, containers, and modern DevOps tooling is advantageous.Experience in large-scale distributed or high-performance computing environments is advantageous. We are recruiting an experienced Python Application DevOps Engineer for a permanent, hybrid role in London with a financial services firm. You will join a high-performing engineering team supporting critical technology platforms in a complex, high-volume environment, working across application, infrastructure, and engineering teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational performance.
