Responsibilities: Well work with you to own innovation development end-to-end, from concept and prototyping through deployment and integration into Matomos core platform.Youll design, prototype, and deliver backend and frontend features that extend Matomos capabilities, working with PHP and JavaScript and other technologies such as Python and Node.js where needed.Youll explore and validate product ideas, including AI-powered insights and analytics features, and identify opportunities across analytics, visualisation, integrations, and user experience.Youll balance speed and quality, avoid unnecessary over-engineering, work autonomously, and proactively resolve blockers or escalate when needed.Youll consider usability, scalability, security, and long-term product value in your technical work.Youll write automated tests, review code, produce clear technical documentation, and follow secure implementation practices.Youll stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and product trends and bring fresh perspectives to Matomo.Youll collaborate with our co-founders and senior engineers, share concepts, prototypes, and learnings, and clearly communicate ideas and technical trade-offs across our remote global team. This role is 100% remote within the United Kingdom, with flexible working hours and support for work-life balance. Compensation is £60,000–£70,000 per year.
