Salary: £55,000 - 85,000 per year
Requirements: Expert knowledge of batch and distributed data processing, and near-real-time streaming data pipelines using technologies such as Kafka, Flink, and Spark; Databricks experience is a plus.Experience implementing cloud-based Data Lake or Big Data Analytics platforms; AWS is preferred.Proficiency in Python and software engineering best practices.Expertise in RDBMS, data warehousing, data modelling with relational SQL (such as Redshift and PostgreSQL), and NoSQL databases.Proficiency in DevOps, CI/CD pipeline management, and infrastructure-as-code deployment best practices.Nice to have: hands-on experience with data quality and data governance techniques.Nice to have: knowledge of MLOps and feature engineering.Nice to have: familiarity with data analysis and machine learning technologies such as scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, XGBoost, and LightGBM.Nice to have: exposure to tools such as Apache Oozie and Apache Airflow. Responsibilities: Shape the architecture of data products for analytics and data science, including forecasting, feature engineering, customer behaviour, and integration of new data sources.Establish data transformation best practices in data modelling, performance optimisation, and data governance to ensure our data is consistent, available, and reliable.Build reusable technology that enables teams to ingest, store, transform, and serve their own data products.Work with data scientists and machine learning engineers to explore product needs and refine data requirements for enhanced data infrastructure.Continue learning and experimenting with emerging technologies, including testing open-source tools and participating in community-building activities.
