Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year
Requirements: 7+ years of experience in solutions architecture, sales or pre-sales engineering, or technical consulting, including experience supporting enterprise sales in a specialist or overlay capacity.Hands-on experience designing or deploying ransomware-recovery architectures, immutable or air-gapped backup solutions, or identity-resilience systems such as Active Directory or Entra ID recovery; strong infrastructure background in backup and recovery, storage, or hybrid cloud.Working knowledge of Active Directory or Entra ID architecture and security concepts, including ransomware kill chains, immutability, air-gapping, and zero trust.Scripting and API proficiency, such as Python or PowerShell, for demos and proof-of-concept work.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and executive audiences, and comfort working in a co-sell or specialist model.Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision-making.Professional English proficiency for customer and internal communication.Preferred: Specialist or overlay SE/SA experience at a data infrastructure, backup, or cybersecurity vendor, including validating ransomware-recovery or identity-resilience use cases in regulated industries.Preferred: Existing technical relationships or direct competitive experience in backup, cyber resilience, or data security markets relevant to the assigned territory.Preferred: Language capability matched to the assigned territory, such as French, German, Mandarin, or Bahasa; business-level English is required for all positions. Responsibilities: Own the technical win for supported Security deals through discovery, solution design, demos, and proof of value, partnering with a Specialist AE who owns the commercial close.Serve as the security architecture subject-matter expert on ransomware-recovery design, immutable and air-gapped vaulting, identity resilience, and data security posture management (DSPM).Design reference architectures and lead technical workshops, proofs of concept, and pilots that validate ransomware-recovery and identity-resilience use cases across regulated industries.Develop account-specific technical narratives, including solution briefs, architecture diagrams, and business cases.Understand accounts technology environments and collaborate with security partners on joint solutions and technical co-selling.Share field feedback to inform the product roadmap and maintain disciplined deal hygiene through accurate technical qualification and clear proof-of-concept exit criteria.Support technical qualification and proof-of-concept reliability, collaborate with the paired Specialist AE and partners, and create reusable assets that support services and multi-phase opportunities. In this pre-sales solution-architecture and consultative role, you will join a new Security specialist team and partner one-to-one with a Specialist AE; this is not a production-engineering position. The role is field-based within an assigned territory, with regular customer travel and periodic travel to our Santa Clara headquarters and company events. The posting lists the location as United Kingdom – Remote and the position as full-time. Employees within a reasonable commute of a core office generally work there two to three days per week.
