Requirements: A-level qualification or equivalent, or relevant industry experience in enterprise technology, digital workplace, AI enablement or governance.Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot and enterprise productivity tools is highly desirable.Experience with Claude, AI platforms, agent tools, connectors, integration governance or similar enterprise AI capabilities is beneficial.ITIL, project delivery, product ownership, security, data protection or governance qualifications are advantageous; practical experience is equally valued.Experience deploying or governing enterprise technology platforms across a complex organisation.Strong understanding of AI adoption, enablement, change management and safe experimentation in a business environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, Claude, AI agents, Agent Studios, MCPs, connectors or integration-led productivity tools.Experience defining standards, controls, documentation and operational processes for technology platforms.Understanding of data protection, security, access control and risk considerations related to AI use and enterprise integrations.Ability to work with ITAM, Finance and Procurement on licensing, renewals, budgets, cost control and usage governance.Experience building stakeholder confidence through education, guidance, communications, workshops and community networks.Ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders, challenge constructively and maintain positive working relationships.Experience measuring adoption, engagement, risks, costs and value through clear reporting and practical management information.Clear, confident communication skills, including the ability to make AI practical, safe and engaging for colleagues at all levels.Strong governance mindset and sound judgement in balancing innovation, risk, data protection, security and operational control.Commercial awareness, with a focus on adoption, value, FinOps discipline and cost control.Structured, detail-oriented approach to creating standards, documentation, decision records and repeatable operating models.Curiosity and pragmatism when assessing emerging AI capabilities, with attention to business value and user experience.Collaborative, energetic and credible approach, with the ability to lead networks and influence without relying solely on formal authority. Responsibilities: Own our enterprise AI toolset from a Group IT perspective, including Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Agent Studios, MCPs, approved connectors and related configuration standards.Review new enterprise AI technologies, platform features and releases, assessing suitability, risk, value and readiness for controlled deployment.Define, maintain and govern central configuration standards for enterprise AI platforms, ensuring consistency, supportability and alignment with our policies.Establish and operate standards for department-created agents, including ownership, data boundaries, approvals, testing, documentation, monitoring and lifecycle management.Govern MCPs, connectors and integrations, ensuring use cases are approved, secure, documented and reviewed.Work with Security and Data Protection to ensure AI controls, data handling, permissions and risk decisions are appropriately owned, tracked and challenged.Partner with ITAM, Finance and Procurement to manage enterprise AI FinOps, including licensing, budget controls, usage reviews, renewals and cost optimisation.Enable the business through education, guidance, playbooks, showcases, office hours and accessible materials that support safe and effective AI use.Lead and energise our AI Champions network to support adoption, feedback and engagement across departments.Translate business requirements into safe, supportable AI solutions in partnership with Architecture, Engineering, Service Desk, Security and business stakeholders.Maintain documentation, knowledge articles, governance artefacts, decision logs and communications for AI platforms and standards.Measure and communicate adoption, engagement, usage patterns, costs, risks, issues and realised value to IT leadership and business stakeholders.Be a positive, credible and pragmatic voice for enterprise AI, balancing innovation with control, security and data protection.
