About this role

Salary: £44,000 - 84,000 per year

Requirements: At least 10 years of enterprise architecture experience in large, complex organisations, with a strong focus on integration and distributed systemsProven ability to translate business and technology strategy into actionable architecture roadmaps, with experience delivering large-scale transformation initiativesDeep expertise in enterprise integration technologies, including MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)Strong experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka and Azure Service Bus, as well as microservices and container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and MicronautSolid understanding of API-led architecture, RESTful API design, API management platforms such as Apigee and Azure API Management, and authentication and authorisation standards such as OAuth2 and OIDCAbility to evaluate emerging technologies and align architectural decisions with business needs and long-term strategyProfessional proficiency in written and spoken EnglishWillingness to travel as required for stakeholder engagement, workshops, and delivery alignment across locations Responsibilities: Define and maintain our enterprise integration architecture strategy, including API management, event-driven architectures, messaging, ETL/ELT, and streaming patternsEstablish standards for secure transport, authentication and authorisation, schema governance, and API lifecycle managementEnsure integration solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security policies, compliance requirements, and data governance frameworksLead modernisation and simplification of the integration landscape, optimising scalability, performance, and total cost of ownershipPromote reuse of shared services, enterprise platforms, and common integration patterns to reduce duplication and technical debtCollaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to align delivery roadmaps with our architectural directionDefine and enforce architectural guardrails, governance processes, and best practices across integration platforms and delivery teamsProvide technical leadership and guidance at squad and programme level, influencing design decisions and supporting high-quality deliveryRepresent architecture in Communities of Practice and drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharingEngage with senior stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure integration solutions meet business and technical objectives Technologies: AIAPIApigeeAzureCloudDockerETLIBMSupportKafkaKubernetesMuleSoftNetworkSecuritymicroservicesArchitect More:
