Responsibilities: We expect our Network Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership for our campus, wireless, remote access, data centre, and network security services.We need the lead to ensure our network services remain secure, resilient, and able to support the evolving needs of staff, students, and researchers.We expect the lead to help shape the future of our network services and challenge existing approaches, identify improvement opportunities, and drive change through technology, people, and processes.We need the lead to develop a high-performing team, balance competing priorities, and continually improve services.We expect the lead to help transform our network estate by strengthening security, improving operational maturity and engineering capabilities, and modernising network architecture.We need the lead to drive improvements in network segmentation, resilience, service standardisation, and automation, aligning services with our Technology Strategy and institutional priorities.We expect significant on-site presence and collaboration with stakeholders across the School. This Network Engineering Lead role reports to the Head of Engineering and offers a salary of £53,949–£62,160 per annum inclusive, with potential progression to £69,073 inclusive of London allowance.
