About this role

Salary: £55,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements: We require an associate degree/BA and several years of data analysis experience.We require excellent command of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power BI, as well as Azure DevOps, VBA and DAX.We require good experience developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI.We require proficiency in SQL, with practical experience in R or Python.We require experience connecting data sources, importing data and transforming data.We require working knowledge of insurance and reinsurance.We require strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.We require a very good understanding of processes, workflows and data structures.We require the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with a results-driven and practical approach.We require a proactive approach to identifying process improvements and adapting to change.We require understanding of responsibilities in an FCA/PRA regulatory environment.We require compliance with the Insurance Distribution Directive.We require compliance with our Code of Conduct and the FCA Conduct Rules.This role is in scope of IDD.We value confident and articulate communication, client awareness, analytical ability, numeracy, self-motivation, attention to detail, the ability to assimilate and summarise information, and the ability to work to deadlines and adhere to guidelines and standards. Responsibilities: We are accountable for delivering high-quality, timely and accurate reporting and management information to support key decision-making processes.We produce accurate and timely reports, MI and analysis to inform business-critical decisions.We conduct in-depth analysis of claims data to identify underperformance, trends, concerns and themes, and provide actionable insights.We develop and implement effective reporting strategies to meet standards of quality, accuracy and timeliness.We provide expert support for workshops and projects related to system changes, implementation and enhancements.We maintain the highest standards of data integrity so that reports and MI are reliable, accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.We use advanced data modelling, analytics and reporting to transform claims data into reliable insights that support portfolio oversight, operational improvement and informed decision-making.We design, develop and maintain robust data models that ensure consistency, comparability and integrity across client data.We validate and improve metrics and data quality to ensure calculations are accurate.We create KPI reports for internal stakeholders analysing claims portfolios, including root cause analysis, to support internal oversight and business decisions.We create roadmaps for the life cycle of data projects.We use statistical tools to interpret data sets and detect trends and patterns for diagnostic and predictive analytics.We assist with the preparation of loss runs and claims selection for audits and due diligences.We participate in special projects and ad hoc reporting, including conduct risk, consumer duty and KPI work, as required.
