Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year
Requirements: We require applicants to be willing and eligible to apply for and obtain UK security clearance to Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) level, if not already holding existing clearance.We are looking for someone with an understanding of the end-to-end UX design process, user-centred design, and UX principles.We want someone with an interest in the Defence and Security sector within Government.We need a passion for innovative thinking and for creating intuitive, easy-to-use interfaces that delight end users and solve business problems.We expect a strong portfolio demonstrating UX design experience and ability.We need hands-on experience with UX design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or similar.We are looking for experience in developing rapid prototypes.We value familiarity with UX trends and methodologies.We need the ability to prioritise and plan workload effectively to meet deadlines.We want a desire to contribute to the broader success of the Experience Design team.Desirable experience includes a varied background in strategy, user research, business analysis, visual design, creative, or front-end development, or equivalent.Desirable experience includes successful client delivery and engagement.Desirable experience includes designing, planning, and facilitating user research and usability testing.Desirable experience includes confidently presenting concepts to senior client stakeholders.Desirable experience includes strong conceptual and information design skills.Desirable experience includes reviewing existing systems and processes to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations.Desirable experience includes designing, leading, and facilitating workshops or co-creation sessions.Desirable experience includes understanding the political, commercial, and technology challenges faced by Central Government and the Defence & Security sector, and how digital technologies and delivery approaches can help solve them. Responsibilities: We apply a design-led approach to solve client problems.We collaborate with digital experts across disciplines to innovate and solve client problems.We create high-quality UX deliverables that support project outcomes.We create user interface designs and interactive prototypes across mobile, tablet, and desktop.We develop wireframes and functional specifications.We design information architecture.We assist in developing personas, scenarios, and customer experience maps.We understand outputs from user and stakeholder research and synthesise analysis and user insight to shape UX design concepts, deliverables, and outcomes.We design and run workshops and co-creation sessions.We review existing systems and processes to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations.We assist in the scoping and planning of UX projects, either standalone or as part of a wider project, under the review of the team lead.We select the most appropriate and up-to-date tools and techniques for UX projects.We contribute to ongoing enhancements of the Deloitte Digital UX methodologies.We monitor wider industry UX trends and relevant technology trends.We work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive culture.
