Job Description Summary: Assemble semi-finished and finished parts, to produce a finished mass timber product.
Job Description: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Fabricate timber products and assemblies per job specs and process documents
• Prepare workstations per Lead Assembly Technician direction
• Follow clear process documents, cut sheets, and verbal instructions to assemble components
• Perform basic quality control checks and dimensional inspections using a tape measure to ensure product meets job specs
• Learn to distinguish between various hardware and fastener types and ensure the correct hardware is used for each spec
• Safely handle and transport materials across the shop floor
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment
• Report issues with tools, equipment, or unsafe conditions
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Able to perform manual operations requiring adept dexterity
• Practical experience or aptitude with standard power and hand tools (drills, impact drivers, saws)
• Able to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic shop math
• Able to competently perform visual inspection of finished parts
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow process directions carefully
• Able to meet physical demands of the job: standing for extended periods, lifting loads up to 50 pounds, squatting, bending, or kneeling during assembly tasks
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing shop environment subject to changing weather and ambient temperatures
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus (not required)
• Adhere to all OSHA safety practices and procedures
