Coco de Mer Maldives, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, a 75-key resort set to bring together a premium island experience with the distinctive, independent character that defines Hilton’s Tapestry Collection. Located in the North Malé Atoll, the resort is scheduled to open in 2027 and will offer an idyllic island escape within easy reach of the capital. Set on a purpose-built island approximately 25 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, Coco de Mer Maldives will provide guests with a seamless journey from arrival to a memorable Maldivian getaway. Combining the natural beauty and relaxed spirit of the Maldives with the individuality of Tapestry Collection, Coco de Mer Maldives is poised to offer a distinctive new hospitality experience in one of the world’s most sought-after island destinations. Exceptional Hospitality Starts with You Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotel team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a Cost Controller cum General Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the hotel’s financial operations. Working closely with key departments, you will oversee cost control processes, monitor inventory movements across receiving and storerooms, manage daily cash handling activities, and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and reporting. This dual-role position combines operational cost management with cashiering responsibilities, helping to safeguard the hotel’s assets while supporting sound financial decision-making. Beyond the numbers, you are an important part of creating exceptional guest experiences by ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency that keep our hotel running seamlessly. You're not just managing costs and cash flow. You're contributing to the light and warmth of hospitality that makes every guest stay memorable.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
• Cost Control & Inventory Management: Monitor food, beverage, and operating supply costs by reviewing receiving records, inventory movements, store requisitions, and stock variances. Conduct periodic stock counts and ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded.
• Cashiering & Cash Management: Manage daily cash collections, petty cash, cash floats, and banking activities. Ensure all cash transactions are properly documented, reconciled, and deposited in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Financial Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare daily and monthly cost reports, cash summaries, and reconciliation schedules. Investigate discrepancies and work closely with relevant departments to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with Finance, Purchasing, Receiving, Food & Beverage, and Operational teams to support effective cost management and smooth day-to-day hotel operations.
• Records & Compliance Management: Maintain accurate financial, inventory, and cash handling records. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, auditing requirements, and established financial procedures.
• Risk & Asset Protection: Safeguard the hotel's financial assets by ensuring proper controls over cash, inventory, and stock movements. Promote accountability and adherence to established procedures to minimize losses and operational risks.

• Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Management, or related field; certified in Finance/Accounting • Previous experience in Cost Control, General Cashiering, Finance, or Accounting within a hotel environment is preferred. • Strong understanding of inventory control, cost management, cash handling, and financial reconciliation processes. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. • Fluent in written and spoken English to meet business needs. • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. • Possess systems skills in OnQ, Check SCM, SUN, OPERA/ OnQ PMS, MICROS, HRLINK.
