About this role
Downer has recently been awarded the Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, and we are looking for full-time Security Guard to join our team at Baldivis Town Centre. The full-time roster available: Tuesday 14:00 - 22:06, Wednesday 14:00 - 22:06, Thursday 14:00 - 22:06, Friday 14:00 - 22:06 & Sunday 10:00 - 18:06 These positions are paid in accordance with the Security Services Industry Award, with applicable penalty rates for night shifts and weekends. What your day will look like:
• Monitoring the premises and conducting regular patrols • Controlling site access and managing visitors, contractors and deliveries • Responding promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms and emergencies • Providing general assistance while maintaining a visible and approachable presence • Identifying and reporting suspicious activity, hazards and maintenance issues • Maintaining accurate records, following procedures and liaising with relevant services when required What you’ll bring:
• Certificate II in Security Operations (mandatory); Certificate III in Security Operations is desirable • Current First Aid and CPR certificates (mandatory) • Current Working with Children Check (mandatory) • Experience monitoring CCTV, alarms and access control systems • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills, with a focus on de-escalation Successful applicants will be required to complete pre-employment screening, including a health declaration, police check and reference checks.
