NSF is seeking an experienced IATF Lead Auditor to conduct third-party audits for our automotive clients and help organizations achieve and maintain certification to internationally recognized quality management standards. In this role, you will deliver auditing and related certification services in accordance with IATF 16949, applicable registration program requirements, and NSF procedures. As a trusted advisor to our clients, you will evaluate management systems, identify improvement opportunities, and provide objective assessments that support continual improvement and compliance. Success in this position requires strong technical auditing expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build lasting professional relationships with both external clients and internal NSF stakeholders. #LI-EA1
• Plan and conduct all assessment activities, including documentation reviews, preliminary assessments, on-site readiness reviews, registration reassessments, and surveillance audits • Lead the audit team and ensure successful completion of assigned projects • Review and forward audit reports, client responses to audit nonconformities, and any other necessary technical documentation • Maintain appropriate auditor credentials • Attend additional training related to business needs as required • Perform other duties as requested
• Holds current International Automotive Task Force (IATF) certification and maintains Green Status in ADP, with a valid IATF ID number (4-ADP-XX-XX-XXXX). • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field • Current Lead Auditor certifications and documented audit experience in applicable management system standards • Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others in quality assurance, quality control, and quality management systems • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders • Excellent written, verbal, and reading comprehension skills • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team environments • Ability to prepare, organize, and deliver clear and comprehensive quality system assessment reports • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% • Meet Lead Auditor competency qualifications outlined in the current version of ISO 19011 • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Minimum of two years of experience conducting global regulatory compliance audits to TS16949 and/or IATF standards Preferred Qualifications:
• At least 4 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a minimum of 4 years in quality assurance or OEM customer-specific requirements • Experience across different industry types to qualify for multiple NACE codes Physical Demands:
• Required to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time • Moderate physical effort is necessary (ability to move up to 50 pounds from one area to another with assistance • Extensive travel by plane or car required U.S. Salary Range: $65,000 - $130,000 The total pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At NSF, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
