About this role
We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate (with knowledge of Torbay processes desirable) who:
Can support SEND children and their families through identifying barriers to learning and adopting strategies that help overcome theseDemonstrates a commitment to inclusive education for all children by working with staff and families to formulate personalised plans for improvement.Uses knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and understands the EHCP process and Early Help services to support pupils and families. Who can work alongside teachers to provide advice and develop impactful class strategiesMonitor and evaluate the quality and impact of SEND provision across the schoolForms positive relationships and inspires and motivates all children to enable them to be the best that they can beKeeps up to date and accurate records of support and the impact regarding SEND provisionReviews and update all records to ensure that statutory requirements are metWork in partnership with the Headteacher, LAB and wider community to ensure that our mission and ethos is translated into actionParticipate in Trust-wide inclusion meetingsAttend meetings with parents, teachers and other providers to ensure all pupils’ needs are metEnsures an inclusive school experience for al learners, not just those with SENDWork with the wider team to close the gap for vulnerable and disadvantaged learnersHolds the National SENDCo Qualification or is willing to work towards achieving it.
