FACILITIES MANAGER

M1 (Point 28 - 31) = £40,444 - £43,149 per annum

Full Time - 37 Hours Per Week

Governors wish to appoint a dedicated and professional Facilities Manager who will share their commitment of maintaining and developing an outstanding learning environment, for the pupils and staff.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

Lead and manage the school premises team, including supervision, performance and staff development.

Oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance, cleanliness and security of the school site.

Lead and coordinate premises-related projects, contracts and maintenance programmes.

Manage contractors and external providers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Develop, implement and monitor short and long-term premises development and site maintenance plans.

Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, statutory requirements and school policies.

Manage premises-related budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently and cost-effectively.

The successful candidate(s) will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

Proven experience in premises, facilities or a similar management role, including staff line management.

Sound knowledge of premises management, health and safety, COSHH and statutory compliance.

Experience of using IT systems for premises management, health and safety monitoring and reporting.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, support and develop staff.

Ability to use initiative, work independently and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.

Highly organised, with strong planning, project management and time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Flexible and adaptable, with a positive approach to changing operational demands and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
