Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for the Geography department, setting high expectations for teaching, learning, achievement and behaviour in line with the Academy's vision and priorities. Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of an ambitious and knowledge-rich Geography curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students and secures strong progress and outcomes. Ensure students have high levels of achievement through high standards and intervention when appropriate. Work collaboratively with middle and senior leaders across the Academy to contribute to whole-school improvement priorities and strategic development. Promote Geography across the Academy, fostering a culture of curiosity, participation and academic excellence within the subject.
