Job summary
We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our busy clinical team for around 30 hours per week (negotiable) to include one evening per week (ideally a Tuesday), and one Saturday morning per month.
The salary is negotiable, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Phlebotomist to work in our large, friendly GP Practice. Responsibilities include venepuncture and blood pressure monitoring.
About us
Didcot Health Centre is a well-established training practice of almost 20,000 patients. We operate from spacious, purpose-built premises on a single site close to the centre of town and just a few minutes' walk from Didcot Parkway. We have a wide clinical team comprising:
six GP partners and eight salaried GPs

Job description Job responsibilities
The Phlebotomist will provide high-quality clinical support services undertaking venepuncture, accurately recording and processing patient samples, and ensuring specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched to laboratories. The role will also involve carrying out blood pressure monitoring. The post holder will maintain accurate patient records using EMIS, and ensure patient care is delivered safely, professionally, and in line with practice policies and clinical standards.
We are an EmisWeb practice, so a working knowledge of this software is preferred.

Working hours Essential
The practice is open late on two evenings a week on some Saturday mornings. It is a requirement of this position that the Phlebotomist is able to work late one evening per week (ideally a Tuesday), and one Saturday morning per calendar month.
