We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Children's Nurse to join our team in our Children's Emergency Department and Children's Assessment Unit who shares our vision to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
Our Children's Emergency Department is purpose-built to provide exceptional care, featuring 2 paediatric resuscitation bays, 6 major treatment spaces, and a 10-bed Children's Assessment Unit.

Main duties of the job
If you are a compassionate, confident and motivated experienced Children's Nurse looking for an opportunity to make a real difference to children, young people and their families, join our Children's Emergency Department, where no two days are the same and your skills and compassion can make an immediate impact.
As a Band 5 Children's Nurse, you will provide high-quality, holistic and family-centred care, using your clinical knowledge and professional judgement to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised care in partnership with children, families and the wider multidisciplinary team.
You will be a strong advocate for every child, recognising their physical, emotional, psychological, social, developmental and spiritual needs. You will build trusting relationships, communicate in an age-appropriate way and create a safe, welcoming and positive healthcare experience.
You will promote play, distraction and education, ensuring children with additional or special needs receive individualised support. You will respect the cultures, customs, values and beliefs of every child and family.
Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. You will play a vital role in protecting children and young people, recognising and escalating concerns appropriately.
