Main duties of the job
Undertaking a variety of administrative and compliance duties including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to our Primary Care Network (PCN) team including Clinical Director and PCN Business ManagerSupporting the PCN Business Manager to maintain policy and procedure documents and risk registersAssisting with the review of compliance standards across the PCNDemonstrating a positive attitude towards digital transformation, with a willingness to learn and utilise emerging technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and AI agentsSeeking opportunities to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks, enhance productivity and support modern ways of workingOrganisation of meetings including agenda formation, minutes and accurate record keepingProducing external communications, including via social media, in respect of PCN activitiesAdministration support of PCN services such as, but not limited to, Vasectomy service and Travel VaccinesMaintaining high standards of communication across the PCArranging training courses for the PCN, including booking and communicating invitations appropriatelyMonitoring email inboxes daily, disseminating information across the PCNAssist with HR and recruitment across the Breckland Alliance (advertising, interview set-up, references, inductions, appraisals, etc.)Assisting with shared staff annual leave and other absenceUndertaking any other additional duties reasonable to the role, as requested by the PCN Manager and/or PCN Clinical Director
About us
The Breckland Alliance is a Primary Care Network (PCN) and clinical research partnership based in Thetford, Norfolk.
The 3 member practices are School Lane Surgery and The Grove Surgery, both located in Thetford, and Watton Medical Practice, located approximately 14 miles to the northeast of Thetford.
These 3 GP practices provide primary healthcare services for a total of approximately 45,000 patients.

1.Confidentiality

In the performance of the duties outlined in this Job Description, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, PCN and practice staff and other healthcare workers. They may also have access to information relating to the PCN as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential.
Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the PCN may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.

Qualifications Essential
GCSE grade A to C in English and Mathematics
