Neonatal Outreach support our busy SCU which has 22 cots. They are an innovative and leading outreach team who support discharge planning on the ward as well as managing services in the community such as home phototherapy, ngt feeding at home, home oxygen and follow-up.
We are seeking a staff nurse with recent neonatal or paediatric experience. You will be supported in your role by neonatal outreach band 6's and Band7 as well as the Neonatal Matron.
Applicants will require their own car and must hold a full driving license.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the evidence based assessment of care needs, the development of programmes of care, the implementation and evaluation of those programmes of care. The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without supervision, and to assist with training, supervision and mentorship of qualified and unqualified staff, under the guidance of senior colleagues.
The post holder will need to communicate effectively with and work alongside all members of the multi professional team, children and their families to promote and support the evidence based development of nursing practice.

Person Specification
Education and Training Essential
Registered Nurse with professional registration and NMC pin. Educated to degree level in nursing or equivalent experience Completion of a Practice Supervisor programme Practice Assessor qualification or working towards Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
