This is an internal secondment for 18 months and applicants must have permission from their line manager before applying.

The postholder is responsible for supporting the successful implementation and ongoing development of the Trust's People Portal, while also delivering a professional and proactive HR advisory service. The role is primarily focused on driving workforce transformation through the introduction of digital people processes that improve efficiency, data quality, user experience and workforce management across the Trust.

The post requires strong organisational, analytical and relationship management skills, with the ability to balance the delivery of a significant workforce transformation programme alongside operational HR priorities.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with HR, Payroll, Workforce Information, Digital and operational colleagues, the post holder will coordinate and support key project activities including process review, system configuration and testing, workforce data validation, user training, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives. The role will act as a key point of contact for managers and staff throughout the implementation and optimisation of the People Portal.

In addition to project responsibilities, the post holder will provide day-to-day HR advice and support on a range of employment matters, helping managers to address workforce issues in line with employment legislation, NHS terms and conditions, and Trust policies. They will contribute to employee relations case work and organisational change initiatives, ensuring solutions are practical, people focused and aligned to organisational objectives.

Job description Job responsibilities

Support the implementation and development of the Trust's People Portal, including workforce data migration, system testing, process redesign, reporting and user adoption activities. Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of workforce matters, ensuring compliance with Trust policies, employment legislation and NHS terms and conditions. Manage a caseload of routine employee relations matters, including attendance, capability, conduct, disciplinary and grievance issues, escalating complex cases as appropriate. Produce, validate and analyse workforce information and reports, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee data across workforce systems. Develop training materials, user guidance and support resources, delivering training and system support to HR colleagues, managers and staff. Build effective relationships with key stakeholders across the Trust, supporting workforce initiatives, organisational change, policy development and continuous improvement activities. Qualifications Essential

Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the role

Desirable

Associate CIPD Member / Level 5 qualification

Experience Essential

Experience of providing advice, guidance or support to managers, employees or stakeholders Experience of handling sensitive and confidential issues Experience of using HR or workforce information systems Experience of interpreting and applying policies, procedures or terms and conditions

Desirable

Experience within HR, Workforce, Recruitment, Payroll or a related function Experience of employee relations casework, project work or organisational change
