Are you an experienced Physiotherapist with a background in neurorehabilitation, TBI and respiratory care, looking to lead and develop a specialist therapy team?

Active Neuro, the specialist neurorehabilitation division of Active Care Group, is seeking a Lead Physiotherapist to join our team at Nottingham Brain Injury and Neurological Care Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership, drive service development and deliver innovative, evidence-based rehabilitation for individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injuries, complex neurological conditions and respiratory needs.

Job description Job responsibilities

As Lead Physiotherapist, you will:

Lead the assessment, planning and delivery of specialist physiotherapy interventions for patients with complex neurological conditions, including TBI, stroke, spinal cord injury and progressive neurological disorders. Provide clinical leadership and expertise in complex rehabilitation, including respiratory management and tracheostomy care. Supervise, mentor and develop junior physiotherapy staff, promoting clinical excellence and continuous professional development. Work collaboratively within the MDT to deliver integrated, patient-centred rehabilitation. Drive service development, implementing clinical protocols, guidelines and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Champion the use of advanced rehabilitation technology, including robotics and smart therapy equipment, to support functional recovery. Build strong relationships with patients, families and carers, ensuring rehabilitation is personalised, goal-driven and consistent throughout the patient journey.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

HCPC registration

Experience Essential

Substantial post-registration experience in neurorehabilitation. Expertise in complex neurological rehabilitation, including brain injury, respiratory management and tracheostomy care. Proven clinical leadership, staff supervision and team development experience. Experience in service development, clinical governance and evidence-based practice. A passion for innovation, rehabilitation technology and delivering high-quality, outcome-focused patient care.
