The Student Funding and Fee Policy Team sits within the Admissions and Access Department, and we are a lively and supportive team covering a wide range of funding activities for the Collegiate University.
About the Role
The role is one of several funding administrators within the Department and has a particular focus on:
Ensuring the smooth implementation and running of the Funding Management Portal (FMP) system by supporting staff members to use the functionality to improve the student experience and secure the best applicants.
Continuing to engage stake holders to increase the number of users that the Funding Management Portal has. They will also become familiar with the offer making process through the administration of numerous Trust Funds in the team.
Supporting Faculties and Depts to assess their applicants for funding and share this information with the internal University funding bodies.
Funding processes are continually reviewed and improved and the knowledge that that role will gain in their day-to-day tasks will be vital in supporting the Student Funding Manager in progressing PG Funding Policy work.
This varied and interesting role is essential to a smooth implementation of the work to support the application process from the point of application to Departmental assessment of applicants for funding through to the funding offer making process and securing the best applicants for the University.
The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of administrative functions across the Student Funding and Fee Policy team to gain an excellent foundation in how funding at the University works.
What you will need
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in an administrative role and preferably have some experience of student funding or scholarship administration, although this is not essential. They will also have the ability to prioritise and self-manage their workload, to meet targets and deadlines, and be able to deal with pressure.
They should be educated to HND/HNC, Level 4/5 vocational qualifications or have the equivalent level of practical experience.
