Job Description – Executive (EHS) Location: Angul, Odisha Department: EHS Grade: Executive Type: Full‑time Role Purpose To ensure effective implementation of EHS systems, statutory compliance, safety processes, and risk‑mitigation measures for safe operations at the Angul manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor all EHS systems as per statutory requirements and company standards. Conduct daily safety inspections, risk assessments, job safety analysis (JSA), and permit‑to‑work (PTW) audits. Ensure compliance with OSH Code, Factories Act guidelines, pollution control norms, fire safety norms, and environmental regulations. Support incident reporting, root cause analysis (RCA), and closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Conduct toolbox talks, safety trainings, induction programs, and awareness sessions for employees and contract workforce. Monitor contractor safety compliance, PPE usage, and adherence to safety procedures at site. Coordinate statutory inspections, audits, renewals, and documentation as per compliance calendar. Ensure safety readiness during machine installation, commissioning, and production start‑up phases. Maintain EHS records, MIS reports, and support ISO/IMS/OHS audits. Assist in emergency preparedness, mock drills, and implementation of fire protection measures. Required Qualifications & Experience Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Industrial Safety or equivalent. Mandatory: Diploma/Certification in Industrial Safety (Govt. approved). 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering/chemical/battery industry environment. Strong knowledge of EHS statutory requirements and shop‑floor safety practices. Skills & Competencies Good understanding of EHS laws & statutory compliance. Strong observation and risk‑identification skills. Knowledge of PTW, LOTO, fire safety systems, and hazard management. Ability to conduct safety trainings and safety audits. Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills. Proactive, disciplined, and safety‑first mindset. Key Attributes High integrity and compliance orientation. Ability to work with contract manpower and multiple stakeholders. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
