The Opportunity

• Work during the day and finalize the preliminary review of sleep studies to prepare them for physician final review. • Ensure accurate data collection, testing protocols, and sleep study scoring in accordance with AASM scoring guidelines. • Collaborate with medical directors and physicians to oversee diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies. • Oversee identification of inadequate or failed studies and coordinate repeat testing procedures with ordering providers • Manage all sleep technician schedules and work. • Hire, train, and manage the performance of sleep lab staff. • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and professional development for sleep lab staff. • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and staffing plans to ensure adequate lab coverage consistent with AASM technologist-to-patient staffing ratios. • Ensure adherence to safety rules and accreditation standards set by groups such as the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). • Maintain regulatory and accreditation requirements (such as AASM guidelines). • Lead quality assurance audits and performance improvement initiatives for the sleep lab. • Investigate and report safety events, equipment malfunctions, or adverse patient reactions in accordance with facility policy and AASM standards. • Handle inventory control and equipment maintenance. • Manage payroll and yearly department budgeting. • Escalate complex operational, staffing, or budget issues to the Manager, Practice Operations or Sleep Medical Director as appropriate Required Experience and Competencies

• 3 years of clinical experience in a sleep lab or sleep medicine setting, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity required. • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related health or business field preferred • Prior experience in an AASM-accredited sleep laboratory preferred. • Knowledge of sleep study scoring, testing protocols, and data acquisition quality. • Familiarity with AASM accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. • Able to effectively lead and manage a team of sleep technologists. • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, regulations, and policies. • Strong understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting and inventory control. • Ability to uphold HIPAA regulations and enforce safety standards. • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and providers, both verbally and in writing. • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities. • Know-how and experience using technology and electronic health records (EHRs) to manage patient data and operations. • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of infection control and OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards within the sleep laboratory environment The Practice Ohio Sleep Medicine Institute – Dublin, Ohio
