Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate Job DescriptionThis role supports the shipping and receiving operations by accurately packaging and palletizing orders, preparing shipping labels, managing inventory, and entering shipping information into an ERP system. The position works on a first-shift schedule in a clean, organized manufacturing facility and plays a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently and correctly.Responsibilities
• Assist with picking and packing customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging standards. • Prepare shipping labels and documentation for outbound shipments using appropriate carrier systems such as FedEx and ERP tools. • Palletize orders and stage them for shipment, using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed. • Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. • Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory data into the ERP system with a high level of accuracy. • Conduct inventory counting and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory control. • Place inventory into correct stock locations and ensure products are stored in an organized manner. • Use RF scanners or similar tools to track inventory movements and update system records. • Handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the facility, following established procedures. • Support general inventory management activities, including order selection and inventory reconciliation. • Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving targets and maintain smooth workflow. • Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with facility standards. Essential Skills
• Experience performing shipping and receiving duties in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience counting inventory and supporting inventory control activities. • Experience using an ERP system for data entry and inventory or strong computer skills with the ability to learn ERP software. • Ability to perform accurate data entry for shipping, receiving, and inventory information. • Good organizational skills to manage multiple orders, inventory locations, and documentation. • Experience with basic material handling tasks such as palletizing, order selection, and use of pallet jacks. • Familiarity with shipping processes and carriers, including FedEx or similar services. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Forklift experience is a plus and may be used for material handling and moving pallets. • Experience with RF scanners for inventory tracking is beneficial. • Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage. • Experience performing cycle counts and inventory control in a manufacturing or distribution setting. • Ability to work effectively in a structured, process-driven environment. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders and inventory. The environment is structured and efficient, with clearly defined work areas and inventory locations. Employees use technologies and equipment such as ERP systems, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and material handling tools to perform their duties. The facility layout supports safe movement of materials and collaborative work among team members. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
