Job Title: WelderJob DescriptionThis role is responsible for performing a wide range of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture high-quality products in accordance with customer drawings, specifications, and detailed work instructions. The welder contributes to both production and project work, supporting fabrication, assembly, and maintenance activities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.Responsibilities
• Prepare materials for welding by reading and interpreting customer drawings, mechanical blueprints, and weld symbols to ensure accurate setup and execution. • Perform TIG and MIG welding on aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel components, following established procedures and quality standards. • Set up and adjust welding fixtures and parameters, including amps and volts, to achieve proper penetration, bead appearance, and structural integrity. • Execute weld finishing operations, including manual and power tool grinding, to meet specified surface finish and dimensional requirements. • Assist with the assembly of hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical components as part of larger systems and products. • Support the manufacture of passageway systems, testing equipment, small parts, jigs, and dies by performing welding and fabrication tasks as needed. • Use hand and power tools such as hammers, crimpers, jigs, grinders, saws, torches, drill presses, and pneumatic equipment to complete fabrication and finishing work. • Troubleshoot, repair, and service hand tools, power tools, and other machining equipment used in the welding and fabrication process. • Conduct process inspections, complete certifications, and maintain accurate documentation to verify weld quality and compliance with standards. • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. • Work efficiently to meet company standard times and individual productivity goals while maintaining high quality and minimizing scrap. • Handle tasks that require precise actions and fine manipulations, ensuring attention to detail in all welding and fabrication activities. • Multi-task across different projects and work areas while maintaining productivity and meeting output requirements. • Fulfill production output requirements and actively work to reduce scrap levels through proper technique and careful material handling. • Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds in support of welding and fabrication operations. • Collaborate with team members, demonstrate willingness to learn, and support work in other areas of the manufacturing operation as needed. Essential Skills
• Proficient in TIG and MIG welding techniques on aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel. • Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints, including weld requirement symbology. • Working knowledge of welding fixtures and setup parameters such as amperage and voltage. • Proficiency with hand and power tools including hammers, crimpers, jigs, grinders, saws, torches, drill presses, and pneumatic systems. • Ability to perform detailed and precise actions and manipulations required for high-quality welding and fabrication. • Capability to perform tasks efficiently while maintaining consistent quality standards. • Ability to multi-task while sustaining productivity across multiple projects or work areas. • Proficiency with both metric and standard unit measurement systems. • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds safely in a manufacturing environment. • Capacity to fulfill company standard times and individual productivity goals. • Skill in process inspection, certification, and documentation related to weld quality and production. • Ability to perform welding equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting. Work is performed primarily on a first-shift schedule, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime opportunities on Fridays as needed to support production demands. The environment involves regular use of welding equipment, hand and power tools, and pneumatic systems, with an emphasis on safety, precision, and productivity. Team members work around machinery and metal materials, frequently handling and lifting up to 75 pounds, and are expected to follow appropriate safety practices and attire suitable for an industrial, welding-focused setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Dunlap, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $49920.00/yr.
